Perfect Golf Swing Made Easy

If you’re like most golfers, you want to improve, not just hack around the golf course. Golf is a difficult game to master and most golfers don’t have the time it takes to practice, practice, and practice to significantly improve. You may receive all the greatest golf tips in the world, take countless lessons and get superior instruction and still may not be able to gain consistency.

If you’ve hit with your golf driver perfectly once, you can do it every time; the subconscious mind knows the correct number and sequence of muscle contractions and nerve impulses needed, called muscle memory. Approach the game with a positive attitude and repeat affirmations if you can, such as “I play great golf all the time.” Concentrate totally on your game and you’ll get the best score.

When you swing if you have problems with your left knee buckling, imagine you’re holding a soccer ball between your knees. At the end of a backswing the hands are above the right shoulder, with the golf club pointing more or less in the intended direction of ball flight. Standing over the ball for too long a time and wondering whether you’re going to swing the club correctly can easily result in a skewed shot, or completely missing the ball.

Before you swing, make sure you’re relaxed; contract all your muscles tightly for a moment and then relax them. Use the muscles in your legs and trunk when you swing. Accomplished golfers purposely use sidespin to steer their ball around obstacles or towards the safe side of fairways and greens.

The backswing is a rotation to the right, consisting of a shifting of the player’s body weight to the right side, a turning of the pelvis and shoulders, lifting of the arms and flexing of the elbows and wrists. Sidespin occurs when the clubface is not aligned perpendicularly to the plane of swing. Many golfers who are strongly left-handed in their daily life prefer the right-handed golf swing.

One of the problems that most inexperienced golfers share is they think too much about their swing. The most important thing about the golf swing is the angle and not the strength that’s applied to it.

Hold a medicine ball and turn back and forth; it must be rotational to improve your driving distance. Once you understand that you can change your swing by using a simple technique, you’ll never underestimate golf fitness again. You can get rid of shoulder problems with some simple techniques.

Most of all don’t waste your money on a golf swing aid you don’t need or will never use. Before buying any golf swing aid, check with an expert to get an idea of what problem you need to work on first; backlift of golf swing, momentum of downward thrust or stance for example. Golf swing aids can be found online and are often cheaper.

If you’re looking for an aid to improve your stance they’re not hard to find. There are golf swing aids that will help you with swing alignment. Ask an expert, who is not associated with the shop you would buy your golf swing aid from, for advice on the right aid for you.

Whether you’re a seasoned golfer or just starting out, pick just one golf swing aid and go to work on your swing. Be careful about the claims on TV commercials and magazine ads; seek expert advice before you buy because they may not live up to their claims. You can find golf swing aids that will help you with your wrist and arm position.

Overall, investing in golf swing aids will greatly improve your golf swing and your golf game. Sporting goods stores have golf aids to improve your game.

If you can, sit in on a friend’s golf lesson to see if you connect with the pro. Invest in a few of the newest golf books and golf ebooks; older golf books may be outdated. Try to concentrate on one golf swing weakness at a time.

If you are stuck for a vacation this year why not try one of the many Hilton Head golf vacations on offer, at the southern end of South Carolina. Combine a great climate with a marvelous golfing and seaside vacation that nobody in your family will gripe about.

Who can gripe about the otters, bobcats and mink? Or just off-island, the dolphins and loggerhead turtles? Your family will love you for this vacation so much that you will be able to golf all day without so much as a murmur of complaint…well, perhaps! I can’t see why not, though. The shopping is fine and the entertainment is great. The kids will be happy with the beaches to play on and there are also miniature golf courses for them to learn on.

Golf Schools and Bowling Alleys - Something for Everyone

Can your partner play golf? If not, there are lots of golf schools here you can take him or her to visit and get a few lessons. There is plenty for everybody to do and almost three hundred places to eat! There are bowling alleys, a huge tennis complex and water sports to die for. If anybody complains about there being ‘nothing to do’ on Hilton Head Island, they are nuts!

The courses themselves are great and have been designed by the best. Davis Love III, Arnold Palmer and the Golden Bear himself all designed courses here. Being on an island, they are mainly links courses, and offer you a different challenge to that of an inland golf course. It’s less target golf and more a knowledge of conditions, wind and bounce, though it’s still a lot of fun and provides valuable experience. You will love it, believe me!

You Must Play the Harbor Town Links Course

Hilton Head Harbor Town Golf Links is the most famous of the courses, with its trademark red and white lighthouse designed specifically for the eighteenth hole. Its 18th hole has been featured in Golf Magazine, and it is a course that every visitor to Hilton Head than can hold a club must play. There’s no excuse and there is a lot for the other family members to be getting on with while the golfers enjoy their round.

If you have had golfing holidays in the past that you have enjoyed, but your family has not been too enamored with due to the lack of facilities for the non-golfers among them, then you must try this island. Hilton Head golf vacations have a lot to offer everybody, whether they play golf or not. Give yourself and your family a treat this summer.

The physical capability of every golfer is different - what I mean by that is that the stance, posture, size, swing characteristics etc of each and every golfer is different, however golf manufacturers make golf clubs identical as an off the shelf product.

The majority of golf clubs which you can purchase today can be customized to accommodate the individual differences between golfers. The lie angle/loft, type of shaft, length of shaft, grip type and grip size can be modified. All that is required to custom fit these clubs is some simple measurements and a basic analysis of your swing.

The definition of a custom golf club is the modification of the technical architecture of the equipment to suit the individuals needs and requirements.

It does not matter what level you have attained in the game of golf custom fitting your clubs will help your game. With a custom fit golf club in your hands you can be safe in the knowledge that your clubs are personalized for you. With a custom fit club you can be sure that when you make a good swing the club will be square at impact and you shot should soar down the middle of the fairway.

So how you do custom fit a club?

Arranging a custom fit is quite straight forward - when you go to arrange your fitting the following information will be taken into accounts :-

Gender
Height
Distance from the wrist to the floor
Age
Handicap/Skill Level
Swing Speed

Gender is utilised as the golf industry in general utilises different definitions as to what the standard length is for both a male and a female.

Height and distance from wrist to floor is used jointly so that the fitter can determine the length of club which is best suited for you. For example a tall man with long arms could easily be fitted with a shorter shaft than an average height male with short arms. The majority of golfers however use standard length clubs.

The remainder of the measurements are used to determine what type of flex the shaft on your club should have.

Benefits of a custom golf club.

If you slice or pull the ball then quite possibly the toe of the club is leading into the ball which subsequently opens the face of the club causing excessive side spin. This may not always be the case though, this problem could be down to a problem in your swing. When you are fitted your swing should be analyzed, this analysis shows the fitter what type of swing you have. For example if you have a flat swing then the club can be made more upright, performing this modification will ensure that the tope of the club will be just off the ground to compensate your swing.

What happens in the fitting process?

When you are fitted for a club the fitter will probably put some tape onto the bottom of the club and you will hit some balls from a specially designed impact mat. This mat, at impact leaves a mark in the tape which details the lie of the club at impact ie is it the heel or toe hitting the ground at impact. This mark will detail whether your club needs to be flatter or more upright. The majority of golfers during this aspect of the fitting slow down their swing - this is normally a mental thing as the golfer is worried that the club may crack the plastic mat. Don’t let this worry you - swing as you would on the course.

After this however the fitting can become more technically advanced depending upon the fitter. Some fitters attach you to special analysis equipment so that your swing speed, ball spin etc can be recorded. This information is used so that your clubs can be fine tuned in order for you to attain maximum distance possible from your clubs. Other things which are measured are the launch angles, backspin ration and impact efficiency.

Who should have their clubs custom fit?

Well in my opinion every golfer should. As stated every golfer is different in numerous ways and clubs are mass manufactured for the average person.

You do not need to purchase new clubs in order to have them custom fir, the majority of golf retailers offer custom fitting to existing clubs. If you are purchasing new clubs then you may find that the cost of having them custom fit is free, however if you are hoping to have your current clubs custom fit then there may be a small charge.

One thing to note is that having your clubs custom fit will not cure each and every one of your bad shots. In order to remove these shots you should attend a golfing lesson with your local teacher. Custom fitting your clubs however will ensure that when you perform a good swing there is a much higher percentage that the ball will travel upon its intended path. This fact alone should shave shots from your round

Wondering what to get your golf fanatic this holiday? Companies are always catering to the special needs of golfers, so instead of giving a silly present like a singing golf tee, why not get your duffer a gift they can actually enjoy the next time they hit the links?

Even small golf gadgets, can be expensive if you’re not sure what you’re buying. Presented below are five gift ideas you can use to fill any golfer’s neatly hung stocking this year. Best of all, they’re each under $50.

Are you sick of seeing your golfer’s clubs piled in the bathroom or kitchen as they try to remove the evidence of their flubs from the face of their clubs? How about a groove cleaner for his or her clubs? A club cleaning product that removes grass and dirt from the grooves would be the perfect match. The Groove Doctor is only $14.95.

Brush tees will cost you less than $10 for a three-pack and are a great addition to any golfer’s stash of stocking gifts. Unlike wooden or plastic golf tees, a brush tee mimics the natural lie a golfer gets when he lands on some premium grass in the middle of the fairway.

Is the golfer in your home always complaining about not being able to tell how far the pin is from the airway? A digital golf range finder sells for about $35.00 and is tiny enough to wrap and stick in any stocking. Sometimes there isn’t a marker anywhere near, and a range finder is the ticket to a golfer’s good green fortune.

If your golfing enthusiast heads off to the course before the sun rises and never makes it home before the sun sets, then you might want to getting them a set of Twilight Tracer Balls. Tracer balls flash with a red blinking light for five minutes after they’re hit, allowing the golfer to easily follow its path and finish up the game before they’re forced to pick up play and call it a day. Tracer balls sell for less than $35.00 per pack, which includes three balls each.

Or how about a set of personalized premium golf balls? You can get a set of a dozen Titleist balls emblazoned with the golfer’s name on it for under $30 per pack. Titleist is the number one ball in play, but there are other brands you can get even cheaper.

Golfers love anything that has to do with their sport, but many have had enough with double-decker beer hats and trick tees that don’t contribute to the betterment of their game, so this year, surprise him with something he’ll wear out because he love sit so much.

My friends and me went into a creek and we ended up finding 266 golf balls within 2 days and i'm, not sure how to clean them. Any good suggestions on how to sell them would be great.
Is there like somewhere were i could sell them?

i always find it easy to put the golf balls in a bucket with a little bit of bleach and some dish soap. i let them soak a day or two then clean them with a tooth brush. this works great they get really really clean. For selling prices it depends on what kind of golf balls you have!! hope this helps

And is is just one lesson or is it a series of lessons? Also can I rent clubs? How much?

Around $45 per lesson. Also, get your own clubs. If you're starting out and not sure which clubs you prefer, start out with Acuity.
